The International Association of
Administrative Professionals (IAAP) is a not-for-profit association with
over 40,000 members and affiliates with nearly 600 chapters worldwide.
Founded in 1942 as the National Secretaries Association
(NSA), the association's name was changed in 1998 to the International
Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP®) to encompass the
large number of varied administrative job titles and recognize the
advancing role of administrative support staff in business and
government.
- IAAP works with employers to
promote professional excellence.
- Enhancing the success of
career-minded administrative professionals by providing
opportunities for growth through education, community
building and leadership development.
- IAAP's purpose is to provide
information, education, and training and to set standards of
excellence recognized by the business community on a global
perspective.
- IAAP's objectives are to
elevate the standards of all administrative professionals
and to promote their working relationships with management
through continuing education, authorized programs, and
publications.
